Science is making great inroads toward explaining how homeopathic remedies, too dilute to contain any physical traces of a substance, nonetheless carries structurally integrated memory of the original crude material from which the remedy was made.

Emoto demonstrates this can be achieved through prayer, music or by even by attaching written words to a container of water. Since 1999 Emoto has published several volumes of a work titled Messages from Water, which contains photographs of water crystals next to essays and "words of intent".
